The cleaning of fans, ducts
and flues is paramount for all factories. Whether it be to remove contaminants,
remove the risk of fire
or ensure a cleaner working environment, all fans, ducts and flues should
be cleaned on a regular basis.
We recommend that such plant is cleaned
on at least an annual basis. However, some plant such
as oven extract flues require cleaning on a 3 to 6-monthly basis to minimise
the risk of fire.
We have special equipment for the cleaning
of ducts, using long reach vacuum equipment to remove
all traces of dust throughout a building. These techniques are employed
for retrofitting and 5-yearly building maintenance programmes.
In the food industry flues and hoods present a flash fire risk and in
order to be properly cleaned these should be accessed from below and at
the exit point. Installing maintenanceaccess points is undertaken by our staff where
required.
In the dry cleaning and hospitality industries lint
can be a significant problem and we maintain a significant
number of commercial dryer ducts.
Applications:
Cleaning duct systems
during retrofitting
Sterilising duct systems
Removing dust, fats and
dirt from extract ducts to minimise fire risk and fan damage
